The Global Scholars Program (GSP), initiated by Notre Dame Global, was launched with Dulwich College Beijing in 2023 to enhance their shared commitment to developing global citizens. The program offers high school students the opportunity to take Notre Dame college courses online, helping them develop a set of global competencies.
GSP courses are taught by Notre Dame instructors, who teach at the University’s main campus in South Bend, Indiana, and its global locations in London, Rome, Jerusalem, and Ireland. Student participants can choose an online course of study, immersing themselves in the Notre Dame global community and meeting other like-minded peers from across the globe, including classmates from Dulwich College Beijing in China, and Nairobi, Kenya.
As global scholars, students will make progress towards global citizenship and competencies by taking courses associated with four curricular themes:
- Global Issues & Challenges
- Global Arts & Humanities
- World Philosophy & Ethics
- International Development & Sustainable Development
Students will earn 1 college credit from the University of Notre Dame upon completion of each course. Notre Dame Global and Notre Dame Beijing, along with Notre Dame's Office of Pre-College Programs, will provide Confirmation of Participation for students who complete at least three courses in the program. Courses are taught in English.
