The Notre Dame Beijing provides many avenues for engagement with Asia. From the flagship Greater China Scholars Program—the largest international scholarship program offered at Notre Dame—to numerous study abroad opportunities, students have a rich experience whether they're on campus or in China.
Global Scholars Program
The Global Scholars Program (GSP) was launched by the University of Notre Dame, to enhance their commitment of developing global citizens by offering high school students the opportunity to take Notre Dame college courses online, with the goal of helping students to develop a set of global competencies.
GSP courses are taught by Notre Dame instructors. Student participants can choose an online course of study, immersing themselves in the Notre Dame global community and meeting other like-minded peers from across the globe, including classmates from Dulwich College Beijing in China, and Nairobi, Kenya.
Greater China Scholars Program
The Greater China Scholars (GCS) Program, the University of Notre Dame's premiere merit Scholars Program for international undergraduate students, was created with the recognition of the critical importance of encouraging exceptional students from throughout the world to attend Notre Dame. The University not only aims to attract the region’s brightest, but also students with great capacity for global leadership and commitment to the betterment of society.
Semester and Summer Study Abroad in China
Study abroad programming in China is diverse and accommodates a range of students from those with no previous Chinese language study to those with multiple semesters and proficiency. The programs offer students the opportunity to enroll in undergraduate courses alongside local students and take classes taught in English or Chinese, or to pursue an intensive Chinese language curriculum. Students from all colleges and schools at the University of Notre Dame can find a study abroad program in China that provides courses hat count towards all majors and University requirements.
