Partnerships

Notre Dame’s growing presence in China and other Asian countries is built on partnerships and collaborations with academic institutions, corporations, and foundations that share the University’s education and research goals.

Academic Collaborations

Notre Dame has established joint degree programs and exchange programs with universities throughout Asia. Notre Dame Beijing serves as the University’s central link to partners to strengthen academic collaboration and exchange.

Foundations and Educational Institutions

The Notre Dame Greater China Scholars Program has received generous support from the Li Ka Shing FoundationHS Chau Foundation, alumni, parents, and friends. Since the program’s establishment in 2011, it has supported close to 60 students from the Greater China region to come to Notre Dame for undergraduate studies. 

Notre Dame has established a productive relationship with the Ministry of Education of China and the China Scholarship Council (CSC). Vice Minister of Education Hao Ping and CSC Secretary General Liu Jinghui visited the Notre Dame campus in 2013 and signed an agreement to provide ND-CSC joint scholarships to up to 20 Chinese students each year to enroll in Notre Dame’s Ph.D. programs. As a result of the seventh U.S.-China Consultation on People-to-People Exchange, Notre Dame organized a 4-week training program for athletic directors and head coaches from China in cooperation with the Federation of University Sports China (FUSC).
