Our Community: Genesis Beijing
Notre Dame Beijing is located within the ultra-modern building Genesis Beijing. The building features an air purification system that guarantees clean air for the building’s tenants and guests. The building also offers conveniences including public seating areas and workstations with complimentary WIFI in the building’s ground floor atrium, a bookstore, gym, café, bank, and Chinese restaurant. The basement floors feature underground parking, a food court offering Western, pan-Asian, and Chinese cuisines, a convenience store, and a laundromat.
Genesis Beijing’s community activities include a range of cultural and intellectual events (such as guest speakers, public dialogues, and musical performances) that are held in the spacious atrium or the outdoor amphitheater, adjacent to a historic canal and garden of unique trees from Japan. The complex’s art museum, designed by Pritzker-winning Japanese architect Tadao Ando, will be opening in 2018. The Bulgari Hotel Beijing, adjacent to Genesis Beijing, can also be reserved for special events.
Notre Dame Beijing features a flex seminar room and a conference room equipped with up-to-date technology, including high-speed broadband Internet, WIFI, and Polycom video conferencing equipment.
Flex Seminar Room
The Flex Seminar Room is perfect for groups that require different meeting configurations for seminars, lectures, and workshops. The room can accommodate up to 32 people with tables and up to 40 people in theater-style seating. A podium is available for speakers and the room is equipped with two LCD-screens allowing for bilingual presentations, Polycom conferencing equipment, and sound and mic system. The Polycom system also provides a seamless Internet connection to the Notre Dame campus.
Small Conference Room
The conference room accommodates up to four people and can be used for meetings, interviews, or break-out sessions. Equipped for video and audio conference calls, it is equipped with a large wall-mounted LCD screen that connects to a laptop and a Polycom audio conference call system.
