Miranda Ma

Associate Director, Intercultural and Community Engagement, ISSA

Miranda works on establishing and managing the infrastructure of operational support for international visiting scholars, faculty, and staff. In her role, Miranda leads ISSA's efforts to foster community through effective programs and services that engage multiple stakeholders, including international students, international scholars, campus partners, and international families. Miranda manages the Greater China Scholars Program, a merit scholarship program for undergraduate students from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Miranda joined Notre Dame in 2011 to help establish Notre Dame Beijing, the University’s first presence in Asia, and manage its operations. From July 2015 to September 2021, she served as Senior Advisor to Asia, collaborating with NGI’s global facilities in Asia and campus units on University’s academic affairs, research programs, institutional partnerships, operations, and finances in the region. Miranda worked as the Associate Director of ND Beijing from October 2021 to January 2023, leading student recruitment and outreach, business and operational development, and financial management.

Miranda earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.
